I didn't make the All Out 32, but the selected group came from my "E" (10.50-10.99) category. Both of Dave Carmen's cars qualified for the 32, one as a defender (his '69 Mustang driven by Jason Cooper), and one as a challenger (his 66 Caliente driven by himself), but both lost in that round. The selected group ran between 10.45 and 10.55.
Tired and afraid of the coming traffic congestion, I went home after the final four were known: three Chevies and a Mopar, none of whom I knew. I was interviewed by Ken Herring but who knows if that interview will survive editing. My car ran really well. I made four passes in the two days. 10. 85 .86 .87. 88.
These two are from the arm drop round which includes a floating maximum time a racer can run. If you make a bad pass, you are disqualified. My car ran well and I even beat the Monza.
