I've been meaning to post a couple pics of where I've stuck the lights on the dash...
The calibration button and indicator light for the WB O2 are on the right side of the instrument cowl.

On the left side, I have the manual over-ride for the electric fan, and an indicator light to let me know when the fan is on... but I haven't wired the indicator light in yet...

Been dorking with a couple things...

Last week I tried to 'offset' the switching point of the LC-1's simulated NB output, which would allow me to run lean... maybe 15-16:1?
After playing with the Configuration software for the LC-1 for about better than an hour... what I'm doing isn't making the impact I wanted.
Actually, I can't see any difference from the changes I'm making... need to try again later...

This weekend I pulled the dash apart, and installed a 140mph gauge cluster from a 90+ 5.0.
It took extensive re-pinning, and with the my slow wiring pace it took me about 12hrs to finish
The only things that don't work, didn't work before the swap either; coolant temp and tach.
The speedo is a little erratic too, but it seems accurate once it starts to respond... usually around 45mph.

I messed up on the cluster... LOL
I repinned the dash harness to accomodate the entire cluster from the 5.0 car.
Turns out that is not the way to do it... all I should have swapped was the speedo from the cluster.
This weekend I hope to go back over it.

I will be working again this weekend, but might have a little bbq one day.  I'll try to touch base with you...

Found some evidence of water in the oil when I checked the oil the other day.  Parked the car and took it apart tonight expecting a head gasket... Found a crack between the intake and exhaust valve...
Very common for these heads to crack here and sometimes they run fine cracked.  I suspect I'm leaking coolant there though, as that area is discolored compared to the rest of the chamber...
I'll get pics up later.

The last tank was a touch over 30mpg, so it didn't seem to cause too much trouble...

New head from oreillys is $536, or they go for $35 at the j/y...

Always something I guess...

Finally done... hit the j/y and found a suitable head.
Swapped over the roller cam and followers.  Had to tap the EGR holes in the new head.  Stripped a thread in the intake, then stripped the handle on the tap... LOL

Car seems to run well again though.

I think that thing needs a turbo!

I thought I saw you on the road the other day...  driving a Subaru or Volvo or something???
I waved like an idiot but you didn't wave back.  It either wasn't you, or you were to embarrassed to wave back. :lmao:

I have a turbo in a box... somewhere... in the garage...   :thinkiing:

I haven't driven anything except this heap in the last couple months,
I would have waved... unless I was in a chevy, then I would be too embarrassed...

Looks like an EDIS conversion is now on the list of things to do.

It will be necessary in order to gain some clearance for intake manifold design.

Been taking notes and wanted to post a couple here.

I'm trying to sort out some odd AFR command issues, and this is a log I took today...
Going to post on eectuning and see what those guys have to say.

All of my fuel tables are now set to 14.6 to 14.7... I can't tell where the commands for 12 to 17 are coming from...

Not too bad
I lost CR when I replaced the head but didn't measure the chamber so I'm not sure how much. Mpg is now around 27 on the best tanks...
Once I figure out why the fuel command is straying from what I have entered in the fuel tables, then I should be able to lean thins out a bit.

In the above plot, all fuel commands were set to 14.7 AFR.
Obviously there is an adder or multiplier that I can't find...

Also, I'm waiting to get the fueling dialed in before testing out cam timing on the ranger roller cam... As well as a couple other experiments...
