Thought i would share my sn rear disk swap to others as another post here made me decide to just post it up in its own thread.
.. many have done this, well not so many quite this way with the c clip elims, but some have, just thought i would throw it up for other home brewed gearheads a better visual.
Here is a swap i researched about and went ahead and went thru it, all went pretty smooth and works just like it is suppose to.
Ok we all know sn axles are .75 and longer each side compared to a foxbody's track width. This is what i used to swap over all the sn parts to my 8.8 out of a fox. While using the fox length axles. while i have done the ranger swap on previous cars , this time i wanted the disc out back. and with the c clip eliminators also.Using all oem parts and not the over rated NRC brakets.
heres my list
8.8 from 93 fox
sn rear parts;
-rotors,calipers,caliper mounting brackets,housing brackets,gt/v6 anti moan braces
Strange fox length 31 spline c clip eliminator axles
31 spline cobra t-loc w/ added altered stack of shims/clutch plates
some goods.

here is a pic of the oem sn mounting bracket ,that bolts to the flange, this part needs to be altered, so it can swap sides and be to the inside on the axle tube instead of the outside like oem.

inside edge is buurred off to sit against the back side of the flange welds

here is a mock up pic

some people elect to not put this piece in, as its really only needed for the 1 of 3 dust shield bolts but i elected to install it back up and run a few small beads up it with the welder.

next to take place of the drum backing plate that is supposed to be there (for drum brakes) i elected to cut up the stock b. plate and grind to fit.

then bolted all up and all is good, after a few test fits and look no shims needed like those over rated nrc brackets, and it didnt cost squat

Only one other thing, since i used the original part number fox body strange setup the width on the flange is different from the fox to sn years, as the disc and drum differences, no biggie if u order new, they can make the register(hub) the size u want, but since i bought mine used (well new ,but second hand) i had to have a spacer, just happen to talk to chris neighbors, who has his own sn to fox setup and he hooked me up with the spacer rings for 10 bux..sweet..

on rotor

on axle

Many people have done it,infact i was inspired from david clafflin's thread man years ago on corral. just hadnt seen a thread totally dedicated to it here.
thanks, and have any questions, ask away.
